Super-croc had dinos for dinner
Paleontologists have come across fossils of fearsome ancient crocodiles that stood on two legs and who fed on a menu of dinosaurs.
These new discoveries include species nicknamed BoarCroc, RatCroc, PancakeCroc, DuckCroc and DogCroc.
According to a report in Time, many of these old crocs stood upright and walked on their legs, like modern mammals.
BoarCroc, for example, was 20 ft long and had three rows of fangs, like a boar from hell, which made it a perfect 'dinosaur slicer.'
Paul Sereno, a paleontologist at the University of Chicago, notes that modern crocodiles think nothing of tackling prey three rimes their size.
This means BoarCroc could have taken on some hefty dinos.
DogCroc, by contrast - dog-size, with a doglike nose - mostly ate plants and grubs, and was more likely to leg it from any confrontation.
