A student from Northampton University has been given a £1,800 grant to
research telepathy and clairvoyance.

Callum Cooper, 21, of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, is currently
studying psychology and hopes to start a PhD next year.

Now the Parapsychology Foundation in New York has awarded him a grant to
help him to continue his studies.

Mr Cooper said developing technology was leading to people having new
experiences in their dealings with the dead.

He said: "I have only come twice come across text messages from the dead
and there was one case of an email from the dead.

"With technology advancing, people are saying they have had these
unusual experiences. I am trying to sieve through to find the genuine
ones."

Errr... I'd be very impressed if ghosts could use Microsoft Outlook!

Daniel Smith - a long time ago, in a galaxy far away just north of Watford, Daniel fancied himself as a scientist but turned out to be the worst scientist since that bloke who mapped out all those canals on Mars that turned out to be scratches on his telescope's lens. Luckily, he is now not working on the Large Hadron Collider inadvertently creating a black hole that would swallow the world but is safely behind a desk writing this blog, bringing you the fantastical underbelly of nature... weird science.
