International Space Station in orbit
It might be little actual use to science (so they say), but the (pretty much) completed International Space Station does make for a breathtaking sight.
The space shuttle Discovery has just delivered the final solar panel array, and the crew took this shot while they made their way back to the Earth's surface.
As previously mentioned on the blog, this latest addition to the ISS means it is now the second brightest object in the night sky, second to the moon.
