Better, stronger, faster...
US global weapon mongers Lockheed have come up with a way to turn US troops into supersoldiers.
Its Human Universal Load Carrier (HULC) exoskeleton can be donned by infantry to give them the power to carry loads up to 200 pounds with little effort.
Power lasts for an hour when marching at 3mph, and it can give you a burst of 10mph for a short time.
While the HULC is powered by battery, Lockhead says they are coming up with a jet fuel version which would run the suit for three days.
So the suit is good for lifting. But HULC has many optional extras for the discerning killing machine.
Armour plating, heating or cooling systems and sensors can be fitted, plus "other custom attachments". I presume this is a euphemism for guns, missiles and, maybe, lasers?
I think I've already seen the future in some dodgy Jean-Claude Van Damme film...
