Soaps pull at the heartstrings but Becky is my Corrie favourite

SOB! Soapland's been an emotional place tonight, what with Bradley's funeral and Becky mourning her miscarried baby in Corrie.

Personally, I found the subtleties of Corrie much more moving than the showy, OTT grief in Albert Square, with its wailing and shouting.

Katherine Kelly is a fabulous actress as Becky and her scenes tonight with Beverley Callard, as Liz talked about the death of baby Katie, were great.

She's even better when acting with Simon Gregson as hubby Steve. Little touches, like them picking the stuffing out of that manky old chair in the cab office, are the sort of thing that Corrie does so well.

Becky and Steve are a brilliant couple and I really hope they last longer than the average marriage in soapland.
