Is Coronation Street star the most annoying character on British TV?
I am sure that Jimmi Harkishin who plays Dev Alahan is a very nice chap.
The ageing lothario he plays on screen however is not.
For me Dev is the most annoying and pointless character on the box.
It beggars belief how Corrie's very own Peter Stringfellow manages to run a string of businesses when he is chasing women old enough to be his grandkids.
Dev sneers, leches, and smarms his way through every episode.
I have never been interested in any storyline he has been in and I have never seen anything interesting come out of his mouth.
I also remember he nearly made me vomit on a Spag Bol when he stuck his tongue down Deirdrie's throat.
I have been watching Corrie for years, Dev for ten, he is one character I just don't get.
Although there are plenty of sad bods like him in real life.
Am I wrong? Who is your most annoying character on TV?

Surely, Dr Legg ('ooh Dr Legg', Dot Cotton) was the most pointless character. His only contribution to EastEnders' opening 10 years was to grow a beard and lecture Ethel every now and then.
For me it is not about the most annoying ones but its about the ones who don't annoy me. But there are some instance that i really get annoyed is when you saw bad acting in the movie. They mostly have good storyline and the rest are in the background. In every series or movie their will always be a time you get bored. Guy Riordan
