The Kinect Sports games have indicated how successful motion response sports games can be on the Xbox 360.
They have shown why the console can compete with the Wii and indeed eclipse it in this field.
Sadly the same can't be said for Motion Sports Adrenaline, a game that at best can be called average.
For the most part this is clumsy, not very responsive and a poor experience.
There is little wrong with the concept and choices of sport, everything that is wrong is in the execution.
It quite simply doesn't achieve what it sets out to. Any motion response games has to do just that, this game feels like a wild flailing of arms with delayed response and sometimes very little response at all.
I think there is a market for a serious sports motion game but this certainly isn't it.
Score 1/5
I have to be honest when I heard about this game I thought it sounded appalling.
A recreation of Disneyland on the Xbox 360? Surely the only way to experience Disneyland is to go there.

I am happy to report that this is a much more fitting tribute to the late great King Of Pop than that hideous statue that Mohammed Al Fayed stuck outside Fulham FC.
I am also happy to report that it's another step in the right direction for Kinect.
The Wii version of this game was very successful and sold very well indeed, the introduction of Kinect onto the marketplace made a new version for the motion sensing peripheral a foregone conclusion.
The award winning Dance Central has set a very early benchmark for other Kinect games to follow and this is a game that certainly has a fair old crack at reaching the same level of excellence.
The Wii version was based on the very successful Just Dance engine giving it a solid base to work from. This version is a complete rebuild and it requires you to use your whole body but without any controllers in much the same fashion as Dance Central.
Combine this element with the Michael Jackson back-catalogue and those all familiar signature moves and it immediately makes you sit up and take notice.
The song designs are stunning with instantly recognisable backdrops and choreography and you are placed centre stage to bust some serious moves as Wacko Jacko.
You do this by following the graphics on the side of the screen showing you what to do and when.
You can also choose to sing aswell in the performace mode option of the game - this lets you showcase just how bad your voice is as well as your dancing.
This is the game the Wii version should have been, it is very polished, allows you to play different modes involving a group of friends/family and it is on the whole a lot of fun.
It does at times feel a little shallow and could have pushed the boat out a bit more really in terms of unlockable content etc but this is a very good game that is best played with a few drinks and a room full of people.

This is a very belated review of a title I should have covered at Christmas.
When it comes to fitness games though I suppose it is never too late.
When Kinect was launched before Christmas I reveiwed all of the launch games apart from this one and I have to say it is worth the wait unlike some of the earlier ones.
This game puts the Kinect to full effect and actually succeeds in working effectively rather than just trying to.
This actually brings up a representation of yourself on the screen and tracks your every movement.
The detail is actually incredible with the Kinect mapping the detail on your clothes and if you stick your tongue out then so do the mini-you on the screen.
Fascinating stuff and the first real sign I have seen of just how much is left in the Kinect locker.
The game itself takes all the best bits from Wii Fit and adds a lot more, it's not the same fun theme although there are some good party games.
You choose how you want to play whether it is with a personal trainer to help you meet your specific fitness goals or you can choose different classes such as Yoga, Martial Arts, or Tai Chi.
The ability to track the calories as you burn them and physically watch yourself doing the exercises on screen is excellent and it helps having the trainer to watch also.
This is very much like having your own fitness class in your front room and once you have overcome the feeling of looking a bit daft you will love how fun and effective this actually is.
I can't fault this game, excellent execution and superb graphics and technology that really does work.

For some time to come new kinect titles are always going to be met with excitement because the gaming industry is still very much in unchartered waters.
What is guaranteed is that any game carrying the Dr Kawashima branding is going to double the anticipation.
First things first - I have seen some awful reviews of this game on the net by the so called experts.
For that reason I was kind of dreading playing it as I actually really love the Harry Potter franchise.
I also have two daughters who love the films and love the lego game too. We have just got Kinect so the idea of a Potter game on the new motion sensor seemed perfect.
I decided that I would let the real experts decide and I bit the bullet and handed them the new Potter game.
Well I kind of did but they ended up playing in between me playing it.
This is the Potter equivalent of a hack and slash really - there is a huge emphasis on battles and repetition can be a problem.
Really though the focus of this game is on the Kinect influenced gameplay.
I wanted to put this game on and be able to wave my arms about casting spells accurately at people and pretending to be a wizard with fire in my fingers.
I was amazed that this is very much the case, throw your arm back and cast spells, put both hands forward to form a protective shield and basicaly just run around bouncing spells off other people.
You can do this in single or co-op mode and you follow the story of the film closely.
The graphics and cut-scenes are very good and quite honestly if people do have a huge proproblem with this game I don't really see their point.
Yes it's repetitive but just the whole concept of a Potter game where you can throw spells using your arm is more than enough for me.
It's packed full of characters, events and quirkiness from the Potter World and has a fair dollop of magic, mischief and enjoyment.
Room for improvement sure but this is a hell of a start....
The first of the Wii games to move over to Kinect?
Originally a hit on Nintendo's pioneering motion console we now have a version created for the next generation of gaming on the Kinect.
One of a few sports titles to coincide with the release it is a bit of a surprise package and well worth a look.
Just last week we reviewed Sonic Colours - an excellent game that show that the little blue hedgehog and pals have stood the test of time.
Now as gaming moves into the next generation with Kinect he has been as quick as ever to join in the fun.
Another launch title for Kinect from makers Ubisoft this time in the sporting arena.
The first game that really highlights how Kinect could be used in a grittier capacity.
