Japanese adverts for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception show Harrison Ford amazed and ultimately bewitched by the latest instalment of this wildly successful series.
While it's a little disconcerting to see the man who played Han Solo frantically pressing buttons while wearing a look of befuddlement crossed with awe, it's a canny way to promote the game.
Uncharted has always owed a big debt to Ford's other iconic character, Indiana Jones.
As well as exotic locales and stories rooted in archaeological mystery, the games, much like the films, feature breathless action set pieces, humorous dialogue and, of course, a charismatic lead.
Like Indiana, Nathan Drake has movie star good looks, a dry sense of humour and a penchant for putting himself in harm's way.
Uncharted 3 begins in a grimy London pub with a punch-up between our protagonists and a group of comically stereotypical skinheads, and from that moment there is hardly a chance to pause for breath until the game draws to a close several continents later.
The action is relentless, the puzzles diverting and the visuals ... well, it's so beautiful to look at that you could hang your television on the wall, call it art and charge an entrance fee to family and friends.
Making the most of its far-flung locations, the graphics are dazzling: bright, colourful and so meticulously detailed that you will want to explore every inch of a crumbling French chateau, a bustling Colombian town or an ancient temple.
At times I found myself loitering in particular scenes, despite bullets whistling past Drake's head, because I simply wanted to drink in the scenery for a wee while longer.
It's great to see Sully, Elena (voiced by perky Haven star Emily Rose) and Chloe all returning for another adventure; Drake is so adept at landing in danger that he needs all the friends he can get.
The multiplayer for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was hugely popular, and Uncharted 3 should be equally, if not more, of a success.
More games have been added and improvements made to the gameplay ensuring that once fans have completed the main campaign, they still have much Drake-related fun to come.
In a year filled with spectacular games, Uncharted 3 is so monumentally enjoyable that it shines out from the pack like one of Drake's sought-after buried treasures.
