The Michael Jackson Experience (Wii)

By Steve Wollaston on Dec 6, 10 11:19 PM

The common rule in the music industry is that when a singer dies they become much bigger in death than they ever were in life.

The industry faces a bit of a challenge when it comes to Jacko - for 40-odd years he was the most famous artist on the planet.

Understandably the world is saturated with Jacko products with trees being felled at tremendous speed to produce all the books that people are writing about him.

A video game wasn't the first thing that sprang to mind though although it does make perfect sense - it's not actually the first time, I recall a Moonwalker tie-in many years ago!

Anyway - what do we have here you ask?

Well essentially it's Ubisoft releasing a new version of Just Dance - a Jacko version.

Packed with a huge catalogue of the biggest hits and crowd pleasers this is a unique chance to emulate the biggest entertainer of all time.

You get to learn his moves, dance the routines and even act as a backing dancer to him.

It's a dance along rhythm game that you have seen and enjoyed many times recently for sure but that added attraction of it being Jacko does add a lot to the enjoyment.

There are some nice little touches such as the correlating backdrops and instantly recognizable themed dancers - see Thriller.

With such a strong catalogue of songs and dance this is a winner all the way, especially for fans.

Steve Wollaston - Sunday Mercury games reviewer Steve has been writing about video games for donkey's years. In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He has been nominated three times for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards, but never wins. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2. Skyrim has currently taken over his life.
