Review: It's My Circus (Wii)
ROLL up, roll up for all the thrills and spills of the big top... but in your lounge.
That's the idea anyway as 2K Play - the people who brought all the fun of the fair to the Wii with their popular Carnival compilation - try to repeat the trick.
It's My Circus is a collection of games based upon the skills of the circus in six categories - acrobats, animals, clowning, the high wire, stunts and the trapeze.
You work your way through the various disciplines and, as you get better, new stages are unlocked allowing you to showcase your skills in the Big Top itself.
Characters and scenes are bright and colourful and sure to attract the youngsters, but, as with so many of these diverse compilations, the hits are accompanied by a few misses.
Hound Harmony and Magical Melody seem to have little relevance while Frantic Free-Wheeling and Spherical Miracle are great fun but over almost before they've begun.
There are enough goodies here to keep the kids entertained, though.
You can become a human cannonball, try to tame the feisty tigers and use your Wii balance board to master the high wire.
But the real highlights, as with all the best circuses, are to be found in the clowns' area - where you can throw pies aplenty and become a human bowling ball among other things!
