Nintendo DS Review: Jonas

IT may have provided good wholesome entertainment and magical adventures for generations of children and adults, but I have one big issue with Disney... and that is The Disney Channel.

In our house I just can't escape it. The kids are forever glued to Hannah Montana, The Suite Life and the new favourite - The Jonas Brothers.

The latter is the latest game from Disney on the DS and it takes kids on a musical adventure with their favourite brothers.

For a verdict, don't take my word for it. I passed the review copy to 12-year-old Kate, and here's what she had to say:

"I was really looking forward to playing this game; I love the Jonas Brothers so it was exciting to get a game for the DS.

"In the game you play through episodes of the Jonas Brothers and have to take part in different mini-games as you go along.

"These range from dressing up to avoiding fans to washing the dishes! The mini-games are mixed in with performing on stage, when you take part by strumming the guitar using your stylus.

"The graphics on the game are great and the music is obviously the Jonas Brothers music. I didn't think the game was the best I've ever played but it was fun.

I would recommend it to fans of the show, but I'm not sure it would be enjoyable for non-fans.

In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He has been nominated three times for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards, but never wins. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2. Skyrim has currently taken over his life.
