Flips: Percy Jackson (DS)

By Steve Wollaston on Feb 23, 10 08:06 PM

Flips and Percy Jackson are perfect partners in the sense that you are going to hear a lot more about both of them.

For those unfamiliar with Flips, it's a brand new product for the Nintendo DS that was introduced last year.

It's packed with interactive features and extra multimedia information.

For example, when viewing characters you can see biogs and learn more about certain things in the text. There is more information on all of the gods etc.

EA are using the DS for multimedia reading. It's a package with unlockable features and an approach that has kids hooked instantly.

Percy Jackson, meanwhile, has just hit the cinemas over here for the first time and it seems quite likely to follow in the footsteps of a certain Mr Potter.

Here we have five interactive books by Rick Riordan, plus two extra books, all on one game card.

Fun, fast, informative and very innovative, the Flips series looks certain to go from strength to strength - and this is another real winner from EA.
