The Biggest Loser (DS)

By Steve Wollaston on Jan 15, 10 07:38 PM

I should have reviewed this game before Christmas.

The two main reasons I didn't are the fact that (a) I had 92 other games to review, and (b) I knew it would be more use now all the turkey and chocolates are out of the way.

This is not so much a game as a lifestyle tool. It is packed full of fitness guides and routines, health tips and recipes.

The aim of all this is to shed those pounds after a set amount of time when you weigh yourself.

There is no real secret attached to the advice etc, it is common sense practical advice that you should probably be following anyway.

It is presented in a fun manner though and doesn't do so in the patronizing manner some games do.

Any game that helps me fend off my ever-imposing belly has to be a good thing. One that does it in a fun way is even better.

The recipes and exercises are great and for a budget title it has a lot of value in helping you keep trim.

Steve Wollaston - Sunday Mercury games reviewer Steve has been writing about video games for donkey's years. In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He has been nominated three times for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards, but never wins. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2. Skyrim has currently taken over his life.
