Spore Hero (Wii)

By Steve Wollaston on Jan 15, 10 07:36 PM

An all-new Wii adventure for the popular Spore franchise and not before time.

As with other versions of the game on other formats, the main emphasis is to make the wackiest, wildest creatures and then use them to fight in battle.

The aim of the game is to save the planet 'don't you know' so your creature will have his work cut out.

Creating the characters is great fun and it allows you to dream up some truly bonkers creations. You can upgrade the characters as the game goes on which means they can get more powerful and skilled as you progress.

You use your Wii-mote to spit poison, fire spikes, dive bomb, and bite your enemies and there is the opportunity to unleash some fearsome combos.

Fighting can be tricky but persistence will pay off.

Multiplayer fun is plentiful against friends and family with equally mad monsters!

Graphics on the game are nice and bright and to a good standard. My only issue with the game is that it feels a little shallow and clearly a watered down version of the PC relative.

Still, it is good fun and a very nicely designed game with solid gameplay, good graphics and great sound.

The game has been out a while now so if you get yourself on Amazon and eBay you may have a bargain on your hands.
