Gadget Review: Stylophone Beatbox

By Steve Wollaston on Dec 16, 09 01:57 PM

I don't think anyone would have predicted a sequel to the Stylophone, not even Rolf Harris.

The retro revival of the Stylophone though has prompted just that.

This new version is very different though.

This portable electronic beats machine is just as cool as its predecessor flaunting the same retro design, but everything else is new.

It houses all new electro sounds including samples from the UK's Beatbox champion MC Zani.

Stylophone Beatbox has three sound packs - Beatbox, Percussion and Bass Stylophone.

It's a portable beatbox with a pitch adjuster, record option and loop ability and in all honesty it's off-the-scale bonkers and quite simply mad.

MP3 input means it's also possible to sync your scratches with your MP3 music. Plug in your device and layer your sounds over the top of your favourite tracks.

Genius.

The Stylophone Beatbox will be available from HMV and Amazon.co.uk from September, SRP: £19.99.
