Family Game Night Volume 2: (Wii)

By Steve Wollaston on Dec 4, 09 02:27 PM

The Wii is widely regarded as THE family console and quite rightly the games companies do their level best to deliver games that fit the bill.

Last year EA released a compendium of classic Hasbro games in Wii format.

This year they have added some more games in the mix for a new bout of family fun.

The offerings this time around are Operation, Bop It, Jenga, Connect 4 and Connect 4x4, and Pictureka.

Using the Wii-mote to extract things from the body is perfect and using it for Bop It feels almost as good as the real thing.

All of the games play reasonably well with good graphics good invention.

The family game show round at the end hosted by Mr Potato Head is inspired and a nice touch to an already solid format.

In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He has been nominated three times for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards, but never wins. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2. Skyrim has currently taken over his life.
