Cars - Race-orama

By Steve Wollaston on Dec 12, 09 10:56 PM

Once again Disney are sending us back to Radiator Springs and this time it's for some high octane racing.

This fast and furious fun-packed title sees gamers taking on the computer, friends and family round action-packed tracks for the Race-O-Rama Trophy.
There are plenty of racing games around but there are a number of things that make this such a fun title.
For starters the characters are brilliant and there are plenty of new ones alongside the old favourites to play.
Customizing the cars as you go is a big part of the fun. You can modify the paint color, wheels and rims, rear bumpers and spoilers etc etc.
The thing that really makes the game stand out is that it is a greaqt franchise. Cars was a phenomenal box-office success and the opportunity to race using the much loved characters is a real buzz.
We enjoyed playing this as a family and loved the variety in courses which sees you racing through cities, on beaches and in the desert.

In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He has been nominated three times for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards, but never wins. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2. Skyrim has currently taken over his life.
