Lego Battles (DS)

By Steve Wollaston on Jul 3, 09 01:37 PM

A real time-strategy game crossed with Lego Space, Pirates and Castle themes as made popular by the toys - it should have disaster written all over it but actually this game works pretty well.

Build that army up and go to battle - that's the aim of the game, this aim is delivered in style through some great Lego humour and characters.

You can fight on land, sea and in the air using 30 different vehicles over 90 levels.

There are various different game modes and the lastability and hook of the game are to be commended.

A great first strategy games for kids

Steve Wollaston - Sunday Mercury games reviewer Steve has been writing about video games for donkey's years. In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He was recently nominated for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards which he believes was a fluke. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2.
