Gadget Review:Stylophone

By Steve Wollaston on Jul 14, 09 01:52 PM

GET your lava lamp out, decorate the walls with lunatic wallpaper, stick on your copy of The Sweeney and make sweet music with your Stylophone.

Everyone's favourite electronic organ is back with a vengeance to unleash its retro wackiness and unique sounds on a new generation.

The Stylophone became a huge cult hit with icons like Rolf Harris and David Bowie using them to make music.

The retro stylus and the electronic keys are back, as is the classic design.

This is true retro electrical madness that is excellent fun. The best thing about the re-issue is that there are some great new touches.

There are some funky new sounds including Classic, Synth and Bass, and there is also an option of plugging in an MP3 player so you can play along to a favourite tune.

This is a must-have gadget despite being decades old.

Retailing at only £14.99 at www.iwantoneofthose.com.

Steve Wollaston - Sunday Mercury games reviewer Steve has been writing about video games for donkey's years. In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He was recently nominated for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards which he believes was a fluke. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2.
