E3: What an event, The Beatles, Eminem, James Cameron, Posh Spice and some GREAT games!
Our gaming insider LA Dolly brings us her final E3 report, next year yours truly and LA Dolly will be reporting live from E3 via this blog and live webchat as it happens - don't miss that, in fact stick a reminder somewhere!
Over to you Dolly...

Feet still aching ventured over to the Ubisoft stand. They were showing off James Cameron's Avatar: The Game in a mini cinema style presentation. Seats = bliss.
Turns out the game looks amazing and I momentarily forgot about my sore feet.. Based on the film, players immerse themselves on alien planet Pandora, where conflict erupts between the RDA Corporation, a space-faring consortium in search of valuable resources, and the Na'vi, Pandora's indigenous people.
The beautiful environments stood out even more as we watched the demo in 3D! Oscar winning producer and James Cameron's right hand man on the film, Jon Landau, gave a ten minute talk on the game and film. What a treat to have Hollywood royalty.
Next up was Assassin's Creed 2. Another stunning looking game, this time set in the Renaissance Italy. You play Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young Italian nobleman who learns the skills to become a master assassin, and even gets to befriend Leonardo Da Vinci!
The usual free running elements feature heavily but this time round, your character can also swim and fly (the flying courtesy of a lovely aircraft designed by Da Vinci himself!).
Wandering over to the Sony and Nintendo stands, I spotted Elijah Wood. Turns out he's a pretty big gamer who's brother works at Midway Games. Had a quick play on the manic and fun PlayStation Network game Fat Princess along with a quick look at the new Super Mario Galaxy 2.
I would have spent more time looking at the Galaxy 2, with its usual collection of cute characters in this colourful game but came across Charles Martinet - the voice of Mario. His badge had "woo hoo it's a me Mario" in the name section! What a legend.
After a quick and ever so embarrassing go Dancing Stage (oh yes Ice Ice baby on beginners), I made my way over to check out Mafia 2. What the game does is well and truly immerse you into the world of gangsters. Intense gunfights, car chases and hand to hand combat come together to make this a very absorbing game.
Inspired by the mob, I bought a cigar and strutted over to my last game of the day and indeed show - Aliens vs Predator. No Arnie in sight but the game allows you to play as the predator, alien and Colonial Marine - each with their own storylines that inter-twine. Got to love the heat vision and claws.
On that note, I clawed my way out of the show and headed off into the sunset - well over to Sunset, in a cab.
It was fantastic to see E3 back to it's original form and mega scale. With the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Star, James Cameron and Pele being involved, non gamers should take note. It's only going to get bigger.
Xoxo LA Dolly
