Bump (PC)

By Steve Wollaston on Jun 29, 09 10:17 PM

It's not all about shelling out £39.99 for the latest next-generation title that is dripping with endorsements and a gleaming example of graphical brilliance and technical ingenuity. Sometimes it is good to look at the smaller picture.

Local games publisher Focus Multimedia are based in Rugeley, Staffordshire and have for years been shelling out quality budget titles in all good stores - this latest game Bumps is very indicative of the company and is a very clever and very addictive new puzzle game for the PC.

I sometimes overuse the words 'Old School' - but that is exactly what this game is, harking back to the good old days of PC puzzlers before the insanity of the gaming world really took over.

The aim of the game is to tackle the puzzles in order to try and free the Bumps over the course of 99 fantastic levels.

There is a lot of variety to the game and the Bumps have many different abilities which you will discover on the way.

The puzzles will have you racking your brains and tearing your hair out as you try and apply some logic to the thought provoking, brilliantly designed levels.

The game is very playable, very cute and if you like puzzle games you will be in your element with this fun, colourful, quirky title.

Not much of a gamble with it retailing at under a tenner.

In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids...
