Trivial Pursuit (Wii)

By Steve Wollaston on Apr 12, 09 03:54 PM

HARDCORE gaming this isn't, family fun on the Wii it is.

We had Monopoly at Christmas and now we have everyone's favourite question-based game making the leap onto a console near you.

There is a huge amount of positive things that can be said about what this game is trying to achieve. It delivers a superb depth of questions, very neat and colourful display and some interesting ideas to keep the gamer interested.

It is very much Trivial Pursuit: the console version and it looks and feels as you would expect.

Sadly, for all the positives there are also some negatives - you can't lie on your sofa and play this, for example, as the text is too small.

I found myself having to sit bolt upright in front of the screen - and I have good eyesight!

This is fun, but nowhere near as much as it could have been.

Steve Wollaston - Sunday Mercury games reviewer Steve has been writing about video games for donkey's years. In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He was recently nominated for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards which he believes was a fluke. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2.
