Monster Jam: Urban Assault (Wii)

By Steve Wollaston on Apr 28, 09 04:28 PM

IF YOU like huge monster trucks, causing plenty of chaos and generally smashing things up this is the game for you.

This game is about as deep as a sheet of A4 paper; it's also as transparent as glass. There is no hidden agenda, no great secret - just a very simple game that does what it does without any apologies.

Allegedly this game is packed full of the biggest celebrity Monster Trucks in existence, now I wouldn't know my Blue Thunders from my Grave Diggers but they are all here and they are causing chaos.

The idea of the game is to place these behemoth beasts onto city streets around the globe and let them do their worst. And it is good fun - for a while.

That's where the dual-screen fun and stadium events come in to add some variety.

This is a decent attempt at making a niche game something exciting. Personally it was a limited experience for me - but the kids seemed to like it and still haven't got bored yet!
