A Sutton Coldfield family run business is set to give gamers across the country a much-needed cash boost when they launch www.gamesbasement.co.uk on May 4th.

The online games site is designed by gamers for real gamers.

The brains behind the website - Michael Ferguson spoke to Power Up and told us:

"Gamebasement.co.uk is a independent family run business, unlike many of our competitors were aren't run by an accountant or venture capitalist and therefore our number one priority is giving our customers what they want - the very best deals.

"We wanted to enter the gaming arena and prove that although we are not a huge corporate company it is still possible for a small business to succeed in today's highly competitive market and most importantly offer great service and prices because we have genuine drive and enthusiasm for what we are doing.

"Last year we noticed there was a gap in the gaming market to build a successful alternative to the big brands that dominate the industry and inspired by them we have been working tirelessly to build a great site that we feel can compete with these companies.

"Being gamers ourselves we have been able to look at our service from the perspective of what a gamer would want. In this current economic climate we know that money is tight so we are focusing our efforts on delivering competitive prices with free and fast delivery.

"In the coming weeks we will be introducing a loyaly points scheme to reward customers with even bigger discounts and a competitive trade in service which will allow customers to trade their unwanted games and we are working with a local designer to bring exclusive gaming T-shirts to our range.

"When we launch we will be selling games, consoles, accessories and clothing and we already working on bringing more exciting products to our customers."

Now I for one will be popping online - great to see a local firm showing such initiative!

Good on you!

You need to investigate this company and expose them for what they are doing.

No deliveries for 8months and no refunds. The whole net is covered in reports and i'm one of them.

If you are local to this company, report on them and ask them why they are treating customers like this. They took £114 from me without sending me anything. Investiage this farce for all to read.
