Walk With Me (Nintendo DS)

By Steve Wollaston on Mar 24, 09 12:52 PM

Another release that is fundamentally different to normal releases. Not content with dominating the market with Wii Fit, Nintendo have targeted DS owners for a fitness workout!

The game comes with two pedometers, there is no need to strap them round you - simply pop them in your pocket and away you go!

The DS then measures your activity and routine, allows you to rate yourself and set targets. You can even compare how you are doing with walkers all over the world.

Reaching your targets is great fun, the DS judges how soon you reach them compared to other days and you will probably find yourself randomly walking around even when you don't need to just to meet the target!

Create your own Wiimis or import them from the Wii and indulge in some competitive walking with members of your family.

There is so much to do around such a simple concept and you will find yourself pretty hooked very early on, it's a lot of fun and I think that this is the key to the fitness battle.

If you can enjoy keeping fit it does make it more enjoyable. This game certainly tries to do that, mini-games and challenges make a for a great little package which should be applauded for not only trying to make gaming fun but also healthy.
