Empire: Total War (PC)

By Steve Wollaston on Mar 12, 09 09:10 PM

I don't need to say too much about this game, if you like Real Time Strategy games then get this, simple as that - this is an epic game of the highest possible quality.

18th Century warfare is always fun bet when it is done this well on land and sea it makes the whole experience a real joy.

Gamers of all levels can get something out of this and particularly for hardcore strategy buffs the more you put in the more you will get out, this title has depth in bucket loads.

I almost get bored of saying this but again this is a visually superb game that raises the bar for all other strategy titles.

Turn based action and in-depth tactics make this an edge of the seat epic, I can't speak highly enough of this game. Mass warfare has never been so immensely satisfying. You will need a lot of patience and a lot of time on your hands to get the best out of it.

In fact he is probably far too old for it now which is why you will see a lot of reviews been done by kids... He has been nominated three times for Regional Games Journalist Of The Year at the Games Media Awards, but never wins. His major love is sports games and rates Sensible World of Soccer circa 90's as the greatest game ever made - closely followed by Championship Manager 2. Skyrim has currently taken over his life.
