Sid Meier's Civilization: Revolution (DS) By Take 2 Games

You can dress this game up all you like, but one thing's for sure - this is old school, this is the same game it was ten years ago (maybe more) on the PC - and you know what? I loved it.
I remember playing this on the PC years back and being hooked - the same with Alpha Centura, this game is no different, bit of a revamp, few smart touches, but it's the same game, turn based, city building, combat revolving strategy game that's very easy to play and even easier to enjoy.
The gameplay is quick, fun, easy to navigate with the stylus and looks very nice indeed on the DS with some decent sound effects to boot.
Something about this game that the Sid Meier team has been involved in just works perfectly - it's the perfect game for a bus/train journey.
It's a quick strategy fix that you can just pick up and play and come back to when you like.
The different countries etc are still very quirky and fun, the leaders are instantly recognisable and never has been so undiplomatic and abusive to other countries been so much fun!
Wrong I know but after all the aim of this game is to crush the opposition, otr become a major cultural force - but really, come on, who wants that - send in the archers - kill kill kill.
Great stuff...
