Barking mad - sniffer dogs must wear PC bootees
Police sniffer dogs will soon have to wear bootees when searching the homes of Muslims, so as not to cause offence.
The Association of Chief Police Officers is drawing up politically-correct pooch guidelines because of increasing religious sensitivities.
It means that the specially trained sniffer dogs must boot up before searching for drugs and explosives.
Last week Tayside Police had to apologise after a Muslim councillor objected to a crime prevention poster featuring a German shepherd puppy.
In Islamic law although dogs are not regarded as impure, their saliva is.

Yet another RIDICULOUS CONCESSION TO MUSLIMS. I share my home with 8 rescued dogs. Far from being toxic, dogs' saliva is very cleansing and will clean any wound out with such care that infection is never left behind. I presume the Muslims are this way because the only dogs they ever saw back home were infected with rabies. Well, we don't have that disease here in Britain! It's about time immigrants behaved in a way that is acceptable to their host nation, either that or go home, please.
WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE GET SO UPSET ABOUT RESPECTING OTHER PEOPLES WISHES,IF I DID NOT WANT SOMEONE OR SOMETHING IN MY HOME THEN THAT SHOULD BE IT,REGARDLESS OF WHO OR WHAT I AM.
