The Boss and the team collect the Station of the Year award.jpg

So you might have heard.......we only went and won blooming Station of the Year at the Sony's, radios equivalent of the Oscars the other night!!!

I can't tell you how delighted we are at Kerrang to receive such a prestigious award, and I am so proud of each and everyone that works at K & Q towers, because I truly feel we are doing something unique here and its great to get some recognition from our peers for it.

In fact, I have worked in radio for almost 6 years now, at various stations and within various groups, and I have had an awesome time, but I can safely I have never worked anywhere like Kerrang! The whole team are here for the same reason, because we believe in the music, and the station, and I can tell you it is the most amazingly fun place to work, and I count myself very lucky to be able to head in everyday and be a part of this very special team.

Massive congrats to the Morning After team who picked up Silver in the Entertainment category too, (the Host Chris Evans won gold, well he would do, he was presenting the Awards!) and the god-like Genius of Singing 'Enry who walked away with the Sony Rising Star award....thoroughly deserved too!!!

Johnno and Dusty Hare on the Walk.jpg

So the Walk for Matt is approaching its finale when they will walk the final leg of the massive 110miles to Twickenham for the Guinness Premiership Final. So far the stories coming back from the walk have been epic, and here is a pic of two of England's biggest rugby legends, Martin Johnson and Dusty Hare, on a part of the walk. You can still go here and sponsor them, so do it now!!!

Carricks goal moves United one point away from the Title.jpg

Man United took one step closer to the Premiership title last night when they beat Wigan 2-1, and all they need now is a single point from their last two games against my beloved Arsenal and then Hull. I reckon they will wrap it up on Saturday, as we have nothing left to play for, and they just seem to win when they need to.......damn 'em all!

Cooky on his way to his ton.jpg

Oh and isn't it good to see England building on their awesome start to the Test Series against the Windies, by piling on the runs at the Riverside on Day One, with both Alistair Cook and Ravi Bopara getting their tons. Ravi must be thinking this England number 3 lark is easy!

Ben Ryan The Coach.jpg

I had the best day ever yesterday, spending it down at Lensbury in Middlesex with the England 7's team for my upcoming TV Show. A massive thanks to the Bee's Player Coach and England 7's assistant manager Russell Earnshaw for sorting it out, and also for all of the boys for being top sports. Oh and it turns out the Head Coach Ben Ryan, Team Manager Sean Bettinson and myself are all Old Boys from the same school......which blew me away!

It was great to see the intensity of their training, and get a feel for the amount of science that is involved nowadays with these incredible GPS tracker devices that record distance, speed, movement, impacts and even allowed the team to predict when one of the players was getting ill due to his elevated heart rate.......wow!!

The Boys in Action.jpg

The best part though was that they were all such top, down to earth boys, and it was a genuine pleasure to hang around with them for the day and join in the banter!

Messing about with Christina from the Evening show at K Towers on the Burgman.jpgRight then I will give you a preview of the weekends sporting action on Saturday morning as usual, so check back then, and I will be posting the latest Motorcycle Diary up tomorrow, which is all about the Suzuki Burgman 650..........a scooter with a 650cc engine......it's crazy, but not as mad as the new bike I just picked up for next week, a souped up (like it needed it lol!) version of the most powerful motorbike in the world, Triumphs Rocket 3.................Oh My God its quick!!
