Football, a game of two halves played by 11 men a side, that's all I have to say about the weekends action............what.........you want me to talk about Arsenal...............bugger!
Yes I made the school boy error this morning of walking into K/Q towers and taking the Mick out of Dan Morfitt, a Hull City fan, for their loss against Stoke.........big mistake............my mind had obviously removed the Arsenal Chelsea game from my memory for being too distressing!!
No excuses, we dominated, but we were about as much use in front of goal as an inebriated tramp.........with rickets. You simply can't waste that many chances and expect to get a result, and I think it shows just how far this team has to go before it can challenge for any silverware.
Man Utd responded to the pressure from Liverpool brilliantly, with Tevez making a compelling case for Ferguson to keep him, and they look dead certs for the title now. Liverpool showed what they had been missing with Gerard and Torres fully fit and firing, and who knows what would have happened if they hadn't been injured so much this season, but it just goes to show how much strength you need in depth nowadays, considering Utd were without Ronaldo and Rooney for chunks of the season.
Oh and I reckon Villa wish the season was over and done with now, my goodness did they look out at sorts at Fulham, any Villa fans out there who reckon they know why?? I think they have paid the price of having too small a squad, and just couldn't keep there momentum going, lets hope MON buys big in the summer!

The relegation battle heats up even more tonight with the Battle of the North East between Middlesborough and Newcastle, my money is on the Toon army, but you never know, and it should be one of the most nervous and passionate games ever played.
Good news for the Baggies is that there win at the weekend means that can theoretically stay up, I truly hope they do, as they deserve to for the style of footy they play, and it would be great to have the Baggies, Villa, Blues, and Wolves all in the Premiership next year!
So Button made it four out of five in Barcelona, although I didn't get to see much of the race as I was playing cricket for the Mighty Harborne Sunday 2's, which I would like to point out we won, chasing down 227 to win in 36 over's, although I am disappointed to say that my trousers didn't fall down round my ankles this time, although I did manage some comedy fielding, and the less said about my bowling the better!
By all accounts he drove a superb race, and although he refuses to talk about the title yet, its clear he is now in pole position to say the least (see what I did there???!), although it is worrying times for McLaren as Hamilton drove a blinder but could only make ninth.
It has led to the World Champion saying that there are major issues with his McLaren, and he seems frustrated which is to be expected, but hopefully now we are in the European leg of the season they will be able to do a lot of work on the car, and get it up to speed.
On interesting thing that has emerged in the aftermath of the race is Ruben's Barrichello threatening to quit Brawn if they favour Button as their number one driver. This may seem petulant, but you can't blame the guy, he has played second fiddle to drivers like Button and Schumacher all his life, and he really believes this is his last chance to prove himself, something he has so far definitely done on the track.

Anyway, onto rugby, and the Mighty Leicester Tigers did a number on Bath to make sure they are still on for the League and European Cup Double, and they looked rather good while doing it. James Dean Bradfield described Leicester as the Chelsea of the rugby world, not because they have billions of pounds, but because they keep changing managers and personnel and yet still are right up there at the top.

I hope they can now kick on and clinch the double, and I am gutted hat I won't be there, as I actually got offered tickets to both games but cant make it as I am going to be talking about it on Kerrang instead!
The Walk For Matt '09 which launched on Friday has been gathering pace, with lots of rugby superstars taking part, including England manager, legend and all round top bloke Martin Johnson joining in the other day too! They are walking 110 miles from Rugby to Twickers for the Final on Sat, and you can sponsor them here, as its all for an amazing cause, if you want to find out about the progress of the walk go here.

Kasabian popped in to K and Q Towers today for an album playback, and they set a new record for the nicest band we have had in, honestly they were top guys, and they even signed the Streetbike R6. Oh and being from Leicester they are of course big Tigers fans, and in fact have been involved with the Walk for Matt too - honestly, I have met lots of great people doign what I do, but these guys were possibly the best, up there with Mindless Self Indulgence!
Talking of which, it is now full up from all the bands that have signed it over the last year, and so I will be dropping it off so it can now be on display at Streetbike for you to go and see, and possibly make an offer on if you would like to help raise some cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust (all profits from the sale of the bike will go to the charity).
So head down, go see Jason or Gary, maybe have your pic taken with a piece of rock n roll history, and of course if you're feeling generous make the guys an offer!
This week I am doing my normal show on Kerrang (3-5am Mon-Fri) plus I will be on drive tomorrow as the Breakfast team are down in London for the Sony Awards, which are like the Oscars for radio, and hopefully not only will they win, but Singing 'Enry will pick up the newcomer of the year, and of course Kerrang will hopefully walk away with Station of the Year too! Fingers crossed!
Oh and don't miss Luke @ Lunch on Q radio from 1-3pm each weekday too!
Right you lot, I'm off to pick up a new bike from Streetbike, and drop off the R6...............sniff sniff......I promised myself I wouldn't cry...............and have some fun in the sun!
Be good my amigos!
