Promotion for the Bee's, the perfect Semi Final, and enjoying my rest!!!

First up massive congrat's to all the Bees players and supporters for winning on Saturday 31-7 against Redruth clinching promotion to the new Championship next year and winning National two in the process!

I have been so lucky to have been able to train with the guys, and know how much this will mean to them, although they will still want to win their last game against Cambridge on Saturday, and finish the season on a high before they think of what they have achieved and allow themselves to celebrate.
Russell Earnshaw and the boys, plus of the course the fans who have been amazing this year especially in the last game, have earned the right to play in the newly formed Championship next year, where the standard will be a step up, but I reckon they are ready for it, and will cause a few upsets with their attacking free flowing style of rugby.
Russell, Player Coach for the Bee's and assistant coach to Ben Ryan the England's 7's team manager, will be on my Offside show on Saturday chatting about this season, and the challenges that lay ahead from 1pm on Kerrang, don't miss it!

Tonight see's what has been described as the perfect Semi Final take place in the Champions League between my beloved Arsenal and the Dirty Scummers Man Utd..............not that I can't retain my professional journalist unbiased attitude.................damn.
I'm not sure it's the perfect semi, as I would have preferred it as the perfect final, but the great thing is you can expect both teams to go out and attack, and arguably they are the best in the world at doing just that at the moment.
Arsenal will ping it around with their one touch style, looking to Fabregas and Nasri to provide the killer balls, while United will play with purpose down the flanks, utilizing Ronaldo and whomever he has of their myriad of talent partnering him upfront.
I hope my Gooners can do it, but it's a big ask, although their recent forms suggests they are favourites.........so come on, although we will have to watch out for PFA Player of the Year Ryan Giggs in what could be his 800th appearance.......as long as he doesn't score one of those goals.

Oh and I think that was a top performance by Chelsea last night, they are the first team to stop Barca scoring at home this year, and with a total of over 90 goals just from Messi, Henry, and Eto'o thats some feat! They defended brilliantly as a team, allowing Messi at al no space or time to create their magic, and Peter Cech showed that he is back to his best with some remarkable stops.
They must be feeling that they can nick it at Stamford Bridge, and are surely favourites now to progress to an all English Final.
I have mostly been enjoying another week off training............I'm so lazy............for my injured neck, it's actually been really nice, and I have my mate Thom up visiting, so I expect to be playing lots of PS3 over the next few days although I am hoping to get some cricket nets in tomorrow night if the weather and holds off and my neck doesn't fall off!!!!!!!
