A Busted neck, Banging Bikes and the Bee's are Buzzing!!!

By Luke Wilkins on Apr 22, 09 07:35 PM

So sorry about the lack of blogs over the last few days, but I have been struggling with a mangled neck!!!

Me in my prime

I have no idea what's wrong with it, apart from the fact a. It hurts b. I look like a thunderbird at the moment with the amount of movement I have and c. I officially feel old!

I even missed the first cricket game of the season on Sunday for the Mighty Harborne Sunday 2's but I am on a strict regime of rest at the moment (it's a hard life) so no sport for a whole week.........Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!

But neck aside, I have been keeping an eye on all of the amazing sporting action over the last few days, from Red Bulls first GP win, the Lions squad announcement and of course THAT amazing game of footy from last night.

Arshavin scores the first of his four goals

Andrei Arshavin is my new God, hallowed be his name, for he truly managed to take it Liverpool last night almost singlehandedly! I watched in awe as Liverpool and Arsenal played out one of the best games I have ever seen in the premier League, and I think justice was done in the end, although as a die hard Arsenal I cant believe it but I almost wanted Liverpool to win to stop United getting the league.......I said almost!

I have been riding a bevy of beauties from the World of bikes over the last few days, all from the lovely people at Triumph, including the new Speed Triple, a brief but incredible couple of days on the Rocket 3, and the focus of this week's Motorcycle Diaries the Daytona 675!

I must admit having a bad neck hasn't been the most conducive to riding, but with the sun out for the next few days I intend to make the most of it!!! I should have the latest entry up for you by tomorrow, with another to follow after my weekend at MCN Live in Skegness!!

The Bees managed an amazing 45-22 win over Tynedale, the first time they had been defeated at home for 38 games, which has put them 80 minutes away from the National League title, something they truly deserve, and hopefully they can achieve this on Saturday at Sharman's Cross Road when the welcome 3rd placed Redruth, knowing that a win would guarantee the title with one game in hand.

Good luck lads, gutted I can't be training with you this week, but you know us old guys, and do a number on them on Saturday!
