Transfer Mayhem, KP up to his old tricks, and Crashing Gates!
Wow - what a final day of the transfer window then, with some classic panic buying taking place, and some very shrewd purchases also coming to light! I thought I would peruse all that happened and give you my thoughts.

Firstly, best piece of business, Villa's signing of Emile "Big Man" Heskey, £3.5 million is nothing for a guy of his class, and for all his doubters, just wait and see what he does! I am also impressed with "Our 'Arry!" buying back all the good players that Spurs sold before they went down the pan, Keane, Defoe, and Chimbonda, plus one of the best players in the Premier League in Wilson Palacios, and I know a lot of people are saying, why is he buying them back? Well he knows what they can do, and I reckon Spurs will do well out of them.
My beloved Gooners also dipped their toe in the transfer market, although to be fair compared to Wenger's usual conservative approach it's more like he jumped in head first, spending a hell of a lot of £15million on Arshavin, and hopefully he will be the missing piece in a team that are really not looking anywhere near as good as they have done in the past. I also think Jo's move to Everton might be a good one, I actually think he is class, and I reckon he could bang in a few for David Moyes' side. The weirdest team in the transfer market were the "We can buy anyone" Man City, who started off wanting Kaka, Santa Cruz, The Pope, Father Christmas, but ended up with Shay Given and Craig Bellamy..........right okay then!

Now onto my beloved cricket, where it was good to see that Straussy got his Captain era off to a great start...getting out cheaply! But It was awesome to see KP back doing what he does best, you knew as soon he walked out to the crease that he was going to get quick runs, and yeah, okay he got out for 97 playing a silly shot, but I will never criticise a man who has juts got 97 for a team when Cook, Bell etc had all failed, and even Prior seems to have remembered how to bat a bit, so not bad! Add to that he just plays his natural game, and anyone who criticises him I feel is just jumping on a bandwagon, if you have talented players, let them play for crying out loud! Now just bring on one of my favourite sites in sport, Freddie Flintoff steaming in to Chris Gayle...............my mouth is watering!
I had another amazing night at gatecrasher on Wednesday where even the snow couldn't stop the crazy cat students dressing up, there were lots of burlesque dancers (who actually looked better than the clubs proper dancers), Smurfs, Golfers, but my favourites were the first people to come into my room at the back....the Oompah Lumpahs!!! If you don't believe me, here is a pic!!
I will be writing my preview to the 6 nations tomorrow (I can't wait!), so check back then and on a quick note, I have got to the stage where I am learning power chords on my guitar now, and actually playing proper rocks riffs.......even if I might take about an hour to change between chords, but still, its getting there!!!
