This is the time of year when many of us seem to be coming down with colds and flu.
Here are some tips to help you to boost your immune system to protect yourself:
Warm Drinks:
Hot water with a teaspoon of honey (to soothe your sore throat), a squeeze of lemon ( to provide vitamin C and detox the body) and a couple of slivers of fresh ginger root ( to help fight infection, remove catarrh and deal with nausea) will work wonders.
Soothe, calm and warm your body with hot drinks throughout the day.
Your lymphatic system helps to collect and drain bacteria and viruses from the bloodstream and filters them out from the lymph nodes. When your body is fighting an infection the lymph nodes under your ears may swell up. Support your body to drain an overloaded lymphatic system by drinking warm water.
