Sunday 29th March

Dog-sat for my flatmate's parents' dog Oli all week this week!

He is a shitsu, 16 years old, blind, has a heart murmur, can hardly walk but is absolutely adorable!

He joined OJ and I on Kerrang Radio and did nothing but wee up against the photocopiers in the office and sleep on the desk when we were doing our show.

On the Friday I drove back home to Beckenham in Kent to spend the evening with my family for a meal for Mothers Day, which was really nice.

On Saturday I drove up to Liverpool to DJ with my friends Hayley and Jen after spending a full day in the studio with my engineer Dave finishing off three tracks that will be coming out this year if they get signed to a label.

(It's not me singing before anyone thinks it is! I'm a rubbish singer!)

Monday 6th April

I flew to New York City on Thursday with eight friends for my friend's birthday weekend away. It was my first time in New York and I'd heard so much from other people I felt like I'd already been when I arrived.

The weather was gorgeous, our hotel was in the meat packing district and we did lots of sightseeing as we were only there for a few days.

I wanted to buy a vintage fur coat but the vintage shop I got told to go to tried to charge me $350! Ruined...

West Village and Greenwich Village were my favourite parts of New York. I ate lots of food, the best sushi I've ever tasted in my life, went to some really cool bars and restaurants, and ate in Pastis as featured in Sex in the City - yummy food!

We went to go see the Statue of Liberty but the queue for the boat was over two hours long so we left it, which I was a bit gutted about.

Still, happy birthday Kieran!

Friday 10th April

Caught some nasty cold on the plane flying back from New York and have been under the weather all week - boooooooo.

Jet lagged more than ever before too - next time I think I'll go to NYC for a bit longer than three nights!

Flying to Poland to DJ in Warsaw this evening and back tomorrow for a night of takeaway and DVDs with my friends so we can rest before our big bank holiday Sunday get together - we're all going to The Custard Factory in Digbeth for Cocoon!

I'm very excited as I've never been to the venue before and two of my favourite DJs in the world are playing (Sven Vath and Dubfire).

Friday 20th Feb

Drove down to London after Kerrang! Radio Drive Time show and was djing @ Ministry of Sound tonight. The place was rammed and a lot of my mates came which was good fun. Good in to a bit of a mess back at the hotel and hardly slept - very disappointed in myself as I'm trying to cut down on the drinking! Grrrrrrr Katie

 
Saturday 21st Feb

Drove back up to Birmingham Saturday afternoon after lunching in Soho with my friends, which was lovely and relaxing. Got showered and changed then drove to Derby where I was djing for the evening but behaved and drove back to Birmingham after the gig and was in bed for 5am
 

Monday 23rd Feb

Am in serious training for the London Marathon now, running longer distances but my diet I'm finding extremely difficult to change. Is eating 5 toasted hot cross buns for breakfast really that greedy? I'm a sucker for chocolate too..... L
 

Friday 27th Feb

Feeling extremely lethargic this week I'm in serious need of a day at a spa with some nice massages and a facial .... Did my last day of Kerrang! Drive radio show with OJ and drove to Lincoln where I was djing at a little club called the Cell which was lots of fun. First Friday in a while I didn't touch a drop of alcohol all evening!

 
Saturday 28th Feb

No hangover woooooo! Drove to London to Adee Phelan where the lovely Sam did my hair extensions for me... I get so bored having the same hair style for too long and so I thought It'd be nice to have long hair for a change.... I feel a bit Barbie but I dress quite casual so I think I'll get away with it....

Tonight I had the best night - it was my friends Disco Fancy Dress party at Kitts in London - I wore black platforms, black leg warmers, fish net tights, a gold spandex leotard, a fake chocolate fur coat and a blonde afro wig with heart shaped sunglasses! So much fun. Ate a dirty hotdog from a man selling them on Regent Street- how nice does junk food taste when you're really drunk!?

Sunday March 1st

Woke up at 11am drove to my nan and grandads and saw them for the first time since Christmas it was so nice then went to see my best friend Emma and her little boy Elliott - he's so grown up! Had Nando's with all my girlfriends at my flat in London which was really nice - I miss my friends loads living in Birmingham. Went to a wicked basement party Sunday night in east London and then to see one of my favourite DJ's Gaiser at Fabric - he rocked the place.
 

Monday 2nd March

Ladyhawke played LIVE @ Kerrang! Today - I drove up from London really early with a sore head and a de-hydrated mouth! Yuk. She was amazing, so nice and down to earth as well - her album is incredible - if you don't have it then where have you been!? Its called LADYHAWKE - one of my favourite albums of last year.... Went out on a date tonight - very rare for me I've been single for about 4 years now!  I thought all the sexy boys in Birmingham had been snapped up but it seems maybe I'm wrong... had fun.

Thursday 5th March

Went on 50 minute run today in preparation for the London Marathon and I've never felt so fit. Very happy Katie today.... Decided to go out for dinner with my flat mate Bradley as all we have in our fridge is some pickled onions and a cabbage. Tried the Mailbox as even though I've lived in Birminghamfor over a year I've only been to 3 restaurants!!! Went to Crystal Rivers and ate very healthy fish and potatoes - yummy.... Got home and caught up with one of my favourite tv shows America's Next Top Model - amazing then had another early night I can't believe how much I'm sleeping this week!
