Kate Lawler : spending the night with Kiefer Sutherland and running the marathon
Hello again! This is my first blog of 2009.
Sorry it's been so long since I've written anything.
Christmas and New Years Eve seem so far away now but it was really nice to have time off and spend Christmas Day with my family.
On New Years Eve I was in Dubai djing and spent a few extra days in the sun which was lovely.
Landing at Gatwick at 7:15am on Tuesday January 5 and being told by the pilot that it was minus 5 degrees outside was not the one!
I spent the next week of January in London making some new tracks that should be released individually throughout this year.
I loved being in the studio. The music I make is very different to the music I play on my radio show and I love that.
I've finished 4 tracks now so hopefully you'll hear them soon.
I was djing in Glasgow on January 10 at Byblos which was really good fun. I went to Bordeaux on January 17 to DJ - and this weekend I'm playing in Guernsey!
I'll be bringing back some country fudge for the Drivetime team at Kerrang.
Since I've been back this year in the Midlands I've settled in to my new flat with my friend Bradley, who works for Selfridges in the Bullring.
We're having lots of fun being flatmates.
I'm currently really poorly with a cold/flu and he cooked me home-made chicken vegetable stew the other night.
Delicious.
I'm also beginning training next week for the London Marathon 2009!
My friend and I raised £8,000 for CF last year and this year we're running for Cancer Research.

I'm off to have laser tattoo removal at SK:N now, then going home to spend the night with Kiefer Sutherland.
Well, watching 24, at least.
See you all soon

Hello Kate Lawler,
So tell me have you found anywhere good to go out in Birmingham yet?! And more to the point did the local super market have the space invader penny sweets?!
"....Landing at Gatwick at 7:15am on Tuesday January 5 and being told by the pilot that it was minus 5 degrees outside was not the one!..."
Yes Kate, Gatwick does sometimes get exceedingly cold that time of year.
Hope to hear the new tracks soon!
