Crazy weekend in London!
I was invited to an award ceremony in London and on a Monday. Spoke to my old head chef Claude Bosi who's now down in London. He told me to meet him at 7.30pm and also told me that Sat was going to meet us and go to the awards.
After that it all went a little pear shaped...
I had a text off Sat saying to meet him at the Champagne bar at the St Pancras.
So I Meet him and he had all of his suit cases and stuff and said that he wasn't going to the awards and I thought, 'what the f***' - it's all gone wrong!'

Ended up having a bottle, then two, and I think six bottles later I'm getting a phone call from this crazy French man saying:
'Where ze f*** are u?'
At this stage we were on our ninth bottle.
The French manager was the same guy that ran the Gherkin and bought us some complimentary canapés. As you would imagine they did not last very long!
By this time Sat had missed his first train and ran to catch the second one. In the end we ended up with the sous-chef from the Fat Duck, the head chef from Galvin's Windows and a journalist (hope that everything was off the record!).
We ended up in a Taxi on our way to the awards although they were near the end. The taxi driver took us to the wrong road but luckily enough, Jockey had a membership to a private club where we had more champagne and tapas.
I then just caught the last train back and woke up in Rugby - two stops away from home. That was f****** lucky!
Went down to London and spent 80% in a train station, 10% on a train and the rest was a blur!
Cheers chief!

Just the sort of behaviour I would expect from a Blues fan on a day trip to London. x
