Sometimes it's easy to get bored of football.

What with footballers' ever-expanding wage packets pulling them further away from the common man, the same old teams winning the same old trophies and the saturation of the sport through 24-hour, non-stop coverage.

But when an experienced international manager with UEFA Cup, Coppa Italia and Serie A silverware behind him walks into a League Two club to take charge, you once again realise that anything is possible in this magical game.
