So you know me, love my fashion, hate to be seen wearing the same as anyone else in the room, like to have my finger on the pulse, don't like to be challenged because it makes me angry and want to throw a Diva strop (I WILL win this argument...).

Well, last Thursday I was invited along to celebrate Independents Day... that is, Birmingham independent retailers, as opposed to Independence Day which is a federal holiday in the United States and also the name of a film featuring icky, ugly, evil aliens.
This day came in the form of a fashion show in Birmingham's Great Western Arcade - one of the prettiest shopping venues in Birmingham City Centre, sadly not as populated as I'd like to see it but still, it also houses Mr Simms Ye Olde Sweet Shop (dangerous for sugar fiends like myself - I recommend!).

You've heard of lunchtime express manicures, lunchtime waxing (ouch!) and even the more extreme lunchtime lipo (liposuction). Well, for central Birmingham workers and dwellers at least, there's another lunchtime 'pamper' session you can indulge yourselves in, courtesy of those lovely folk over at Urban Coffee Co on Church Street: Wellbeing massage, or even 'healing' sessions! And the best bit? They're completely free... although I would recommend you buy a coffee before you go jumping in front of the other paying customers demanding a back, neck and shoulder massage. No one likes a cheeky beggar now do they?

A little email dropped into my inbox this morning inviting me to join in the campaign to 'Bring Back the Bush'.

Well, at first my innocent mind thought "why, what does it have to do with me? I'm sure the Americans are quite happy with President Obama, so why would we want to bring back Bush?". Then I realised... it's THAT bush, without a capital 'B', that isn't green (hopefully) and doesn't grow in the ground, that this little email was talking about. The lady-bush.

Apparently some of you ladies out there think that all this painful waxing off most or all of your 'bush' is a bit extreme and we should instead make like Mary by being contrary and let our lady-gardens grow... ahem.
