Yes, that's right, chef, campaigner and crusader of 'healthy food' in schools, Jamie Oliver is coming to Brum with his latest culinary venture... well, rather more addition to his current extensive portfolio of world cuisine takeover bids... sorry, business ventures.

- do excuse my deliberate mistake there, but he really does get a little too hot under the collar and high and mighty about 'the state of our nutritional health at times for my liking. Still, I begrudgingly have to say, the man has a point. Several, actually, when you pay attention to what he is saying...

I would at this point normally say I'm just jealous of his success, however I don't care that I can't cook - that's what he's there for. Which brings me back to my point - Jamie Oliver is bringing his apparently incredibly successful restaurant chain, Jamie's Italian, to Birmingham. And word on the street has it that it's going to be HUGE. Huge in size, and hopefully popularity (imagine a 200 seater restaurant with 10 people in it... ouch!).
It's also apparently not going to be too hard on the purse either - hurrah! A new place for us hard working fashionistas and style queens to rest our aching bunions after a long day of shopping!

There has been plenty of recent speculation amongst us newspaper folk about the planned whereabouts of this so-called super restaurant (I'm not quite sure whether actually it's just me who has deemed it a 'super-restaurant', however I like it and I'll run with it) - mostly leaning towards the former Borders store in the Bullring... and here, on Reed Jobs, is what I class as being good enough to be proof - a statement saying it is near the Bullring, St Martins and the markets... hmmm... what a mystery.

Anyway, culinary kings and queens of Birmingham, or any restaurant manager moguls out there, Jamie wants you. He wants you to become part of his empire, feeding the people of the world, (or maybe just Birmingham in this case) with good, wholesome, healthy Italian food... and make him even richer than he already is (cynical? me? OK, so it's just good business - and now I am slightly jealous - I have a nasty shopping habit that is currently starving).

So... if you think you fit the bill, go forth and err... apply!
