Congratulations Kerrang! and for One Night Only... Caryn Franklin!

If you don't already know what I'm talking about, my lovely friends at Kerrang! Radio have been celebrating the last couple of days... why? Not only did Singing Henry win the Sony DAB Rising Star award but the station won UK Station of the Year (1m+ listeners)! Ie two wins at the Oscars of the radio industry. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

But moving on... tomorrow evening (I'm VERY excited about this), I shall be spending part of my time with my fabulous friend Tara of Rewired PR (who have recently won the contract to look after Style Birmingham - good work ladies!), part of it wandering amongst rails of fabulous clothes along with some of Birmingham's fashion glitterati, and... here's the exciting bit... part of it in the presence of the one and only Caryn Franklin! At Harvey Nics 'One Night Only' fashion event. Did I mention I'm excited?

Just in case you don't know who Caryn Franklin is (and shame on you if you don't), she is an absolute fashion expert and TV presenter who, after being fashion editor and co-editor of i-D Magazine in the early 80's, became most famous for presenting BBC's The Clothes Show! And this is where my admiration for her began and where I first truly got into fashion.

I would watch every episode of the Clothes Show religiously until it disappeared off our screens.. one word - gutted! And does anyone remember the magazine? Yep, you guessed it - I would read that religiously too, until that also disappeared.
