IT girls get Cash Back!

It appears I am now part of Birmingham's 'IT crowd', along with the footballers and their WAGS, if today's Birmingham Post is anything to go by. In the Friday section's review of the Harvey Nichols fashion show last Thursday, who would be captured on the front row? Yours truly of course!

Unlike those evil emails people sometimes send with 'FREE BEER' in the subject line simply as a ploy to make you open it (and then it's about a work query or something), when I say FREE CASH, I actually mean FREE CASH!

So, MercuryCashback.com. There are looooads of retailers signed up to it - everyone from All Saints, to Dorothy Perkins, Marks & Spencer, Faith Shoes, French Connection, Oasis.... in fact most of the high street fashion and even beauty retailers that you would normally shop in. Now I admit, I prefer shopping on the high street where I can try before I buy, or act out my own mini fashion show with my girlfriends... but if you sign up to the cashback site and then go online shopping through there, you won't save money on their usual prices, BUT you WILL earn a percentage of your spend back in the form of cashback. You certainly won't get that if you pop down to the Bullring (unfortunately). I actually just used it earlier to buy my Mum's birthday present online with Marks & Spencer (thanks Mum, I earned money from your present!).

Like Martin Lewis, GMTV's credit expert, keeps saying; if you want an easy way to shop and save money, sign up to a 'cashback' website. This way, you can still stay 'stylish in the city' because you'll be buying all the clothes, shoes, accessories and products you would normally buy off the high street, you'll just be doing it online (and - if you hate queue's and crowds in Birmingham City Centre on a busy weekend - you'll be avoiding that too!).
