Gok's LOST it!

If you've managed to pop into Selfridges, Birmingham over the last couple of days, you may have spotted a certain Mr Gok Wan... lucky you!

The style guru has been in Birmingham since Tuesday filming his new series of Gok's Fashion Fix, and he chose Selfridges' Bullring store as his location!

Naturally, myself being a fellow self confessed fashionista and style guru, I had to mosey on down to see for myself just exactly the extent to what I am up against. But quite frankly, I have to say, I was absolutely and categorically... disappointed!

Why?

After a fairly long day at work, I arrived a little late to witness the whole charade kick off, however there was no need to worry - I still just about got there in time to see the catwalk show, showcasing the styling talents of both Gok and the opposing stylist.
Most looked great I have to say... although one particular outfit was definitely helped along by a fabulously sparkly electric guitar as a prop. After this it was time for the vote: which set of styled outfits did we, the audience, think was the better, designer set?
And here is where it all went so horribly wrong.

My fellow fashionistas, wannabe fashionistas and Gok lovers everywhere: Please prepare yourself for the outcome of the vote:

GOK WAN...0 - 1 OPPOSING STYLST

Nooooo... surely not? GOK WAN has LOST his challenge?

Yes, I'm afraid to say he did. For the first time ever (apparently), Gok Wan, fabulous style guru and female ego stroker extraordinaire, actually LOST his Fashion Face-Off.

Now ladies please don't despair. Your hopes of Gok still being able to work his magic on you may now have been slightly shattered, by the fact that he may have just, ever so slightly, lost his touch here, but nevertheless he still did a darn good job of it... it just didn't turn out quite as cool as his talented opposition managed!

He's probably made up for it since, though I've been unable to make it over to find out.
If you still want to catch him, he will be there at both 1pm and 6pm today, Friday 13th March.
