Ok, here's how I was spending some time during the first two weeks of March in days of yore.

1963
A fairly quiet couple of weeks gig wise for Denny Laine and the Diplomats, averaging a show every other night, with shows at the Handsworth Plaza, Wednesbury Youth Centre, Coleshill Jazz Club, Wednesbury Conservative Club, the Forum Ballroom in Pennsnett and our Monday night residency at the Adelphi Ballroom in West Bromwich.

1968
Gigs with The Move at Swansea University, where we were paid £325, High Wycombe Town Hall (£225),
the Liberal Hall in Yeovil (£250), St Matthews Baths in Ipswich (£225) and a show in Brest, France along with Procul Harum (£350). Also a live appearance on BBC Radio One's "Joe Loss Show" at the Playhouse Theatre in London's Charring Cross, plus some recording at Olympia Studios.

1969
A few Move gigs around Great Britain, with shows at The Belfry, Birmingham and in Belfast, Devises, Oxford and Cambridge.

1974
Several days of recording with ELO in London, plus gigs at Trent Polytechnic in
Nottingham, Fairfield Halls in Croydon and at Chatham Central Hall.
On Saturday March 2nd I travelled Wembley Stadium to see my team, Wolverhampton Wanderers win the League Cup Final, with my good friend John Richards scoring the winning goal in a 2.1 win over Manchester City.

1977
In Los Angeles. Went to the Forum to see Queen and Thin Lizzy in concert. Backstage afterwards to chat with the Queen guys, Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. Nice Japanese meal afterwards at "Beni- Hanas",
Flew from LA to Atlanta for ELO gig to 15,000 people at The Omni. Next day took a flight to a hot and sticky Jacksonville, Florida for a show at the Coliseum, Elliot Murphy and Black Oak Arkansas also on the bill. Flight to Miami and long drive to Fort Lauderdale for hot gig to 11,000 crowd at the Sportorium. Next stop Tampa, Florida and a concert at the Lakeland Arena.

1980
In Munich, Germany, recording with ELO. Tennis player Vitas Geraulitas came to visit and invited us to the tennis tournament he was playing in the next day, where we met fellow tennis stars Jimmy Connors, Adrianno Pannatta and Bjorn Borg.

1984
At the end of an American tour with Black Sabbath.
Drove in Cadillac limos from Utica to Albany, New York for the penultimate gig of the tour and a good , sold out show to around 3,000 people . Drove from Albany to Springfield, Massachusetts, and a great show to finally finish what had seemed a long six week tour.

1985
In Nuremberg, Germany, working on the ELO "Balance of Power" album.

1994
On a British tour with ELO Part 2. Sold out show at the Oxford Apollo then great night at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. Two shows at "Butlins" in Minehead, then flew from Gatwick to a wintry Newark, New Jersey, and two hour drive from there to find the Carriage House Studios in Stamord, Connetticut to begin recording a new album.

1998
A concert at the impressive "Dome" in Stockholm, Sweden with ELO Part 2 and also on the bill were Paul Young and Art Garfunkel.

1999
In South America with ELO Part 2. Flew from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Antafagusta in Chile. From there a flight to the capital, Santiago , and good night to crowd of about 4,000. Long, long journey home --- Santiago to Lima, Peru and from there to London Heathrow, before driving home to Warwickshire.

What I would have given to hang out with my two favorite music groups of all time simultaneously in 1977... Queen and ELO. Thanks Bev, I always enjoy reading these!
