Anorak City Opinion: Why Stargate Universe has defied the doubters

STARGATE Universe just gets better and better - defying all those doubters who said that it could never possibly live up to the hype.

Last week's episode, in which Colonel Everett Young suffered a succession of dreams, each of which ended in the destruction of Destiny, and the death of all the crew, was outstanding.

But at the heart of everything is Dr Nicholas Rush, played superbly by Robert Carlyle. Holed up in the ship's bridge and haunted by ghosts, he's turning in stunning performances.

We're about to learn what Destiny's real mission is, and the rest of the season promises to be dynamite!
