Either the best or worst thing I have seen in ages. I just can't make my mind up which!

HORROR movie classic Carrie is to return in a big budget movie remake.

The 1976 film, based on Stephen King's best-selling debut novel, was a huge hit and has since regularly featured in fan lists of most shocking movies of all time.

It told the story of Carrie White, played by a young Sissy Spacek, who is bullied at school and visits supernatural revenge on her tormentors.

Now film, companies Screen Gems and MGM have joined forces to begin work on a new version penned by Marvel Comics writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

They have pledged that the film will be faithful to King's book, which was the first in the author's rise to become the most successful novelist of all time.

ARNOLD Schwarzenegger has delayed his Hollywood comeback as he braces for what could be a costly divorce.

It follows revelations that the Terminator star had an affair and child with a housekeeper who worked for his family for 20 years.

The former Californian Governor has now told his talent agency to postpone all film projects that are under way or being negotiated until further notice, a statement from his office said.

FADES.jpg

Here's the first look at the BBC3's big new sci-fi show, Fades.

It's an apocalyptic chiller starring Iain De Caestecker (River City, Coronation Street) as Paul, a young man who is haunted by nightmares neither his therapist nor best friend, Mac, can provide answers for.

Worse still, Paul is starting to see the Fades - the spirits of the dead - all around him. They're everywhere but they can't be seen, smelled, heard or touched by living beings.

But now an embittered and vengeful Fade has found a way to break the barrier between the dead and the living and Paul, Mac and their friends and family are all right in the eye of the storm.

But the most terrifying twist is yet to come.

The fate of humanity rests in the hands of the two friends who already have enough trouble getting through a day in one piece, let alone saving the world.

Writer Jack Thorne says: "The Fades was born from a trip into executive producer Sue Hogg's office. She asked me what drama of the last ten years I wished I'd written.

"I said the American cable show Freaks & Geeks.

"I was wearing a Ghostbusters t-shirt at the time and she said: 'What about Freaks & Geeks meets Ghostbusters?'

"I smiled and nodded enthusiastically. But the further we've gone along, and it's been five years since that meeting, the more seriously we've taken the fantasy and the mythology.

"The comedy is subtler and a newer, fresher, hopefully more exciting show has emerged.

"I feel so lucky to be part of the team that's bringing it to the screen. Everyone from our location manager to our FX supervisor is so committed and we have an amazing cast.

"I'm quite literally in dreamland right now."

There'll be more news of the show at the forthcoming MCM Expo London Comic Con event taking place in London from May 27 to May 29.

Lost writers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have penned a new fantasy series due to air in the US on ABC.

It's about a young son who believes his mother comes from an alternate world and is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming.

According to ABC Entertainment president Paul Lee: "Once Upon a Time is completely unlike Lost.

"But in some ways it's like Lost because it's about a group of people who are trapped."

While the new series will use flashbacks like Lost, those flashbacks will be of the fairytale world the characters come from.

Here's the trailer!
