This is the trailer for Blinky - a film telling the story of a smiley family robot which turns into a deranged killer.

Quality.

Robert De Niro has said he would like to do more films in the Meet The Parents franchise.

The Hollywood legend, who portrays intimidating patriarch Jack in Meet The Parents, Meet The Fockers and the upcoming Little Fockers, said he would be up for more of the comedies, which he also co-produces.

"I'm up for doing another few if it would actually go the distance - I think they're fun and great," he said.

His co-star Ben Stiller, who plays the hapless Greg Focker, added: "When Bob calls, you have to show up. So, as many more as he wants to do, I will do."

Spellbinding Merlin verdict

SPELLBINDING! There's no better word to describe last night's season three finalé of Merlin.

Everything suddenly started falling into place. The Knights of the Round Table, the recovery of Excalibur, that very public kiss between Arthur and Gwen - and Merlin on the verge of revealing his magical powers.

YOU can't escape The Muppets Christmas Carol on the box at this time of year.

Better news is that A-list stars are queuing up to appear in the Muppets' next outing. Disney is making a new movie featuring Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Animal and all our favourites.

And the hot news is that Ricky Gervais has just joined the cast in an as yet unspecified role.

He joins the likes of Emily Blunt, Alan Arkin, Jack Black, Billy Crystal, Zach Galifianakis and Jean-Claude Van Damme, all of whom have bit parts in the story, which sees the Muppets reunite to put on a show in order to save their studio from a developer.

James Bobin is directing the film, shooting in and around Los Angeles.

Jason Segel, who wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller, is the human lead while Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Rashida Jones are among the other human actors in key roles.

28 years later (Tr)on

By Alison Jones on Dec 13, 10 11:36 PM

A mere 28 years since the groundbreaking Tron set the bar for the use of computer graphics, virtual sets and backlit effects, comes a sequel, Tron: Legacy. Jeff Bridges returns as the hero Kevin Flynn, having disappeared back into the world of The Grid that he'd made it out of in the first film.
Twenty years after Flynn vanished, his grown up son Sam (Garrett Hedlund) follows him in, discovering a new reality and encountering the warrior programme Quorra (played by Olivia Wilde) and the rogue programme Clu, which was created in his father's image.
The original was written and directed by Steven Lisberger. The sequel is in the hands of movie virgin Joseph Kosinski, an architecture graduate who made his name as a commercial director on campaigns such as Halo, Gears of War and Nike.
Anorak City met up with Jeff, Olivia and Joseph in London.
