Doctor Who star Karen Gillan said today she wanted to be in an episode of The Simpsons.

The 22-year-old, who plays Amy Pond in the Doctor Who series, said the chance of being part of the cartoon series programme would be "really cool".

The star was speaking as she signed boxes containing a five-inch version of her character along with posters for more than 200 fans at toy store Hamleys in Glasgow's St Enoch Centre.

Asked whether she had been approached about being in The Simpsons, she said: "I haven't. Maybe someone has. I don't know anything about it.

"That would be really cool. That's almost on a par with being a doll because being a Simpsons character, all yellow and stuff, would be really cool."

Gillan also said she wanted to see ginger wigs in shops as part of Doctor Who merchandise for her character Amy Pond.

Ce message est utile pour mon écriture de recherche à l'université, merci!

Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs every day. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store.

Been travelling in the Tardis again? Karen Gillan rewinds to the Sixties to play model Jean Shrimpton in We'll Take Manhattan.

Anyway, she deserves to be in the Simpsons and as Mrs. Simpsons.
