Lost finale: On reflection

I watched the finale again yesterday.

That's the fifth time I have watched it and each time it gets that little bit more satisfying.

There are gigantic holes in the whole mythology of the show for sure but some of those holes I think were deliberately left there.

Let's not forget that the show used so many story narratives and for it to have lived up to the geek legend that was created around it would have been a very big task indeed.

Some of the characters we didn't get conclusions for or explanations for but in the grand scheme of things this really was a beautiful way to put a show to sleep.

That last episode was very clever, amazingly well filmed and acted and very profound. There was a sadness to the end of the show that was very hard to capture and I have to say the whole of Lost would have been a very different show without the stunning musical score by Michael Giacchino.

I can't wait for those extra minutes on the release of the series, we will of course be speaking in some depth about them.

We will also be running a petition I think to make sure Disney don't do anything else with the greatest tv show of all time!

the more I think about it, the more I know that they got it right.

I'm looking forward to the boxset coming out; I'm sure I missed stuff and I need to watch again to see if I did.
