Playing Fast and Lost

By Alison Jones on Jan 26, 10 06:06 PM

I admit I lost the plot with Lost somewhere around season two when Sky disappeared from my cable provider.
It has since been returned but such was the complexity of the story that had been woven by then, I felt it was simply too late to start watching with any hope of understanding or appreciating it.
But help is at hand. Thanks to the those multi-tasking thespians at the Reduced Shakespeare Company I can be all caught up in 10 minutes.

To welcome the sixth and final season, which launches on Sky1 on Feb 5, the comedy troupe have condensed all of seasons one to five in a single, easy to understand, playlet - Lost Reduced
The fast-paced flight through the story of the Oceanic plane crash survivors will be premiered in London on Thursday for a select audience of competition winners. But it is also being filmed for internet broadcast as well as on the Sky Platform's Anytime service.
Austin Tichenor and Reed Martin, managing partners of the Reduced Shakespeare Company, have co-authored the script and they will perform it with long-time company member Matt Rippy
Tichenor said: "We are all ginormous fans of Lost. We've followed every twist and turn in the labyrinthine plot since the very beginning. Being trusted to reduce the first five seasons to just 10 minutes is a humongous responsibility.
"All the years we spent poring over Oceanic Airline flight manifests and arcane theories of time-travel will not have been in vain. We can't wait to see the final season. Damon and Carlton will explain everything."
Co-creator and executive producer Damon Lindelof and executive producer Carlton Cuse have praised the idea and granted permission for the production to go ahead.
Tickets for the premiere are being given away to fans through a series of online competitions and radio promotions.
